Of course, the most devastating wars often erupt unexpectedly. The outbreak of the World War in 1914 caught many by surprise, and over the next four years, it claimed the lives of tens of millions.
In 1939, the outbreak of a world war was unforeseen, yet it resulted in the deaths of tens of millions over the following six years. Currently, the unfolding events are more transparent, and without intervention, billions could perish in the looming wars that are rapidly approaching.
Recently, Chinese President Xi Jinping, clad in military garb, spoke emphatically about “preparing for war.” During his visit to the People’s Liberation Army Missile Force, which followed exercises near Taiwan, Xi instructed the troops to heighten their war readiness. He emphasized the need for the military to “comprehensively intensify training and war preparedness to guarantee robust combat capabilities,” as reported by CCTV.
Why should China prepare for war?
Almost no one has plans to attack China. The reality is that China would only need to prepare for war if it intended to invade Taiwan, as such an action would likely lead to conflict with the United States. In the meantime, Beijing has deployed fighter jets, drones, warships, and coast guard vessels around Taiwan, marking the fourth instance of significant military exercises near the island in just over two years.

Western leaders are openly deliberating the deployment of NATO forces to Ukraine. The most recent instance was Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis advocating on Monday for EU nations to reconsider the deployment of troops into Ukrainian territory to combat Russia.
The concept emerged following a statement by French President Emmanuel Macron in February, in which he mentioned that the deployment of Western troops to Ukraine is “not ruled out” for future strategies in the conflict with Russia, as reported by AP.
“If the information about the battalions from North Korea is confirmed, we must return to the territory of Ukraine,” Macron said.
Reports indicate that North Korean soldiers are arming and being deployed to fight alongside Russian forces on the front lines in eastern Ukraine. It is believed that these troops are undergoing training prior to their deployment, signaling the increasingly close ties between Moscow and Pyongyang. This development suggests that a direct confrontation between NATO and Russian forces could be imminent.
South Korea
Lately, North Korea has been very active. They have not only sent troops to assist in the Ukraine conflict but are also threatening to invade South Korea. They claim to have discovered remnants of a South Korean military drone, warning that any additional incursions into their territory will be met with a declaration of war.
Tensions on the peninsula have intensified since May, following North Korea’s actions of sending balloons filled with trash over the border, leading Seoul to restart its propaganda broadcasts.
Recently, North Korea has charged South Korea with sending drones over Pyongyang on three separate occasions and has issued a threat of violent retaliation for any further incidents. In the event of a North Korean invasion, South Korea’s survival may hinge on Western intervention.
However, the focus of Western powers is currently on the Middle East, where the situation is at risk of escalating rapidly. Israel has announced plans to target financial institutions aiding Hezbollah.
Israel has stated that it will soon disclose how Iran is funding Hezbollah’s terrorist operations through political entities, associations, and NGOs that serve as fronts for terrorism.
Subsequently, Israeli airstrikes have begun targeting the Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association Bank, striking multiple locations in Beirut and southern Lebanon, including bank branches allegedly holding Hezbollah funds.
Earlier, the army’s Arab spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, issued multiple evacuation warnings for buildings in southern Lebanon, citing their proximity to facilities associated with the Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association bank, which is under U.S. sanctions.
