"NASA wants to shut everyone's mouth": the reasons behind the threats received by the former Pentagon director of UFO research. 1

US Congressman Tim Burchett, a Republican from Tennessee who maintains friendly relations with a former Pentagon employee, has spoken about threats against his friend. This refers to Luis Elizondo, the former director of the Pentagon’s UFO research program.

Luis Elizondo, former head of a clandestine Pentagon unit investigating UFOs, stated that he and “several other informants previously linked with UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena) on behalf of the U.S. government have been threatened.”

He expressed a desire to make this clear to the American public, asserting, “I am not accident-prone. I am not suicidal. I do not misuse drugs.” He further cautioned, “Should anything happen to me or my family members in the future, it will be clear what transpired,” without specifying the sources of these threats.

Rep. Tim Burchett, spearheading the push for full UFO disclosure, counts Elizondo as a personal friend. “Whistleblower protections are a farce,” Burchett stated to Fox News, expressing his frustration over the nature of the threats and the inadequacy of whistleblower protections.

Moreover, he lambasted the state’s whistleblower protection program, deeming it “ridiculous.”

“Luis is a close friend of mine, and I take threats against anyone seriously, especially against my friends and those who have given so much to the country and the UFO issue,” Burchett told Fox.

The intimidation of Elizondo and other UFO whistleblowers is not a recent phenomenon, yet it represents a concerning pattern. In July of the previous year, David Grusch, a prominent whistleblower from the Pentagon’s clandestine program, appeared before Congress. He expressed concerns for his safety and disclosed that he had been compelled to keep quiet about a covert government initiative aimed at locating downed UFOs.

David Grusch, then stated during the hearing that US authorities had developed a classified program to detect and reverse-engineer “unidentified aerial phenomena” that had crashed.

“I am not at liberty to discuss details in an open setting, but what my wife and I have seen is quite alarming,” stated Grusch, the ex-intelligence officer for the U.S. and Air Force veteran. He described facing harsh and futile reprisal efforts, which he termed “administrative terrorism.”

In March 2024, the Pentagon published a report detailing the U.S. government’s investigation into unidentified anomalous phenomena. The report concluded that there was no evidence of extraterrestrial visits to Earth. It stated that the sightings of UFOs and supposed alien vessels were typically cases of mistaken identity by observers.

The 63-page report faced significant criticism from experts, academics, and lawmakers, who described it as “incomplete and riddled with omissions.” “This review attempts to rewrite history and obscure the essential facts of the UFO phenomenon,” stated Jeremy Corbell, an investigative journalist and prominent advocate for UFO transparency, in a statement to Fox News Digital following the report’s release.
