The Pentagon announces Ten Days of Darkness: What you need to know 1

On January 25, 2025, an intriguing Pentagon document surfaced online, causing US conspiracy theorists to lose sleep. The document announced that the Department of Defense (DoD) would be going on a ten-day blackout.

What could this 10-day outage signify? Is it about limiting external communications and enforcing strict clearance protocols? Perhaps reconfiguring control systems? Or is there something happening behind the scenes?

Interestingly, on January 23, a communication ban was implemented across all federal health agencies in America, including the CDC, FDA, HHS, and NIH. These agencies were instructed to cease all external communications, such as publishing scientific reports, updating websites, and issuing medical guidelines. Meanwhile, in New York, nuclear exercises were also initiated.

Conspiracy theorists have already dubbed this situation the “10 days of darkness,” urging everyone to buckle up and start being afraid. Some MAGA supporters suggest that mass arrests are imminent, while pastors focus on planetary alignment and rituals associated with it.

For example, at the Minuteman position, they plan to bring chiefs with tambourines from reservations to perform rituals, speak about the war trail, burn incense, dance, and then launch 50 megatons on a tour of Moscow and China.

In other words, what is planned remains completely unclear. It does not appear to be a routine reconfiguration, as even Facebook and Microsoft do not undergo 10-day fixes, despite the fact that the DoD is a significantly more serious department and usually resolves issues faster than Facebook experiences outages.

This seems to be a genuine blackout and restriction of information. There is every reason to be concerned about what will happen next.
