Recognizing that we exist or are participating in a realm akin to Hell does not equate to self-pity or victimhood. It involves a clear-eyed assessment of the circumstances. It’s about facing reality without delusions of unicorns and pink crystals, but rather, acting and reasoning within the constraints we are given. We inhabit one of the inferior worlds, this is Hell.
The notion of hell doesn’t negate the possibility of finding it interesting and engaging. One can have fun and pursue intriguing activities, but it’s crucial to remain conscious of one’s surroundings and the prevailing conditions.
An adult observes and assesses the game’s conditions, making decisions based on the gathered information. In contrast, a child is oblivious and conjures up imaginary worlds to avoid facing reality. It’s akin to the proverbial monkey who sees nothing, hears nothing, and knows nothing.
Choosing to be like the monkey is a personal decision. Fortunately, it’s not a choice everyone opts for.
The middle path is not about idealization, nor is it succumbing to despair with thoughts like “we are all going to die.” Yes, that is a reality, but you are here now—these are the terms of your existence. Act on this basis. Not from a fantasized paradise awaiting beyond a transition to multiple dimensions, but in the present moment.
Here is your location on the map; ignite the engine and proceed. The game may not be the most enjoyable—it is challenging and arduous. Yet, it persists. The manner in which you arrived is a separate inquiry. You are here now, and it is here that you must confront and resolve the issue.
Welcome to Hell!
Make yourself comfortable, immerse in study, observe, and take pleasure. All of that is achievable. However, remember your surroundings. Abandon the belief in fairy tales; no starship will swoop in to rescue you from yourself.
Learn to be present, remove your rose-colored glasses, strengthen your will and inner fortitude, and understand the rules of this realm. Consolidate your determination, and clear away your tears. You are alone here, in your own game. And yes, it may be a hellish game. But that’s alright! Enjoy it! All is well! It is as it should be!
Consciousness slumbers within this matrix, envisioning a dream, akin to the nightmares you occasionally experience. Similarly, they materialize in the world, for it too is an illusion. A dream nested within another, multiple strata of slumber.
This dream resembles a lucid dream, where we have the ability to act and alter scenarios, yet not entirely. It’s as though there’s another layer from which full control emanates, granting us only limited functionality.
It’s akin to the instructor’s secondary pedals in a driving school car. He always has control over the process. And you, for the moment, are still driving without full responsibility.
In this game, we have several pedals, but they are not the primary ones. They serve more as dummies, giving the illusion of freedom. So, who operates the main pedals? Consider this, ponder deeply, immerse yourself in the thought, and you will find the answer.
