The military presented plans for a highly unusual flying machine that uses an “inertial mass reduction device” to travel at “extreme speeds”.
What this means is that the aircraft uses complex technology to reduce its mass and, therefore, decrease inertia (the resistance of an object to movement) so that it can zoom at high speeds.
The patent is very complex and describes methods to reduce the mass of an aircraft using various techniques, including the generation of gravity waves, which were detected for the first time in 2016 after two black holes collided.
‘It is possible to reduce the inertial mass and, therefore, the gravitational mass, of a system/object in motion, by an abrupt disturbance of the non-linear background of local space-time, says the patent.
The ‘vessel’ described in the patent presents a cavity wall filled with gas, which is then vibrated using powerful electromagnetic waves. This creates a vacuum around the ship, which allows it to be driven at high speeds.
The UFO-style ship can be used in water, air or even in space. “It is possible to imagine a hybrid aerospace / underwater spacecraft (HAUC), which due to the physical mechanisms enabled with the inertial mass reduction device, can function as a submersible vessel capable of extreme underwater speeds … and improved hidden capabilities,” says the patent.
“This hybrid craft would move with great ease through the air/space/water media, being enclosed in a vacuum plasma sheath.”
Although the United States Navy applied for the patent in 2016 and was granted last year, it does not necessarily mean that the ship has been built and tested. However, the technology is further proof of the military’s interest in developing “exotic” technologies.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that researchers from the US government They investigated wormholes, antigravity, invisibility camouflage, warp units, and high-energy laser weapons during an investigation of “unexplained aerial phenomena,” called the Advanced Aerospace Identification and Threat Program (AATIP).
Details of AATIP were first released in 2017, including reports of a sighting by USS Nimitz fighter pilots. These pilots saw an enormous patch of agitated and turbulent water about the size of a Boeing 737, suggesting that there was something below the surface, as well as a “tic tac” plane that drove away at almost unbelievably high speeds.
