Residents of the western part of Brooklyn say that for several months now, periodically, at different times of the day, they hear a mysterious sound. They are asking the city authorities to help figure out what it is and let them sleep peacefully at night, according to Pix11.

One of the phenomena of the new era was, in particular, strange and inexplicable hums that people from one area or another heard from time to time. Many explanations for the phenomenon have been proposed – ranging from telluric to alien, but the last days something new has appeared in this regard, the reason for which was the hum over Brooklyn:

“It looks like woo woo woo! said Mo Hussain, a resident of the Fort Green area. – Sounds unnatural. This sound seems to get under your skin.”

“It looks like your teeth are about to fall out. And your window panes can shatter, Hussein said. “It’s a really unnatural sound, and it’s unnerving.”

Dawn Louise, who has lived in Fort Greene for three years, said she has heard the sound from time to time over the past year.

“Sounds like a tuning fork. Very annoying,” she said at first. And then she added: “That’s what a headache sounds like.”

According to residents, the sound usually does not last long, up to half an hour.

Louise said that the time of day does not matter, the sound appears at any time.

“It sounds very creepy, and therefore it is difficult to ignore it,” the woman says.

In recent years, more new buildings have been built in Fort Green than in any other part of the city. Locals suspect the sound may be related to one or more construction projects. But they say they’re not sure.

As far as one can judge from these news videos, the sound bears little resemblance to the classic “grinding of tectonic plates”, although it strongly resembles it in tone and power. In addition, usually all these “heavenly hums” are heard within an hour; Brooklyn has been listening to them for almost a week now.

Hussein said they hoped the city would help solve the mystery. Various members of the community groups of which he is a part have sent emails, filled out web forms, called 311 and otherwise complained to the city in the hope of getting some answers.

In recent years, more new buildings have been built in Fort Green than in any other part of the city. Locals suspect the sound may be related to one or more construction projects. But they say they’re not sure. The version suited few people, and therefore conspiracy theorists came up with their own – a hypothesis based on some secret underground construction and a version of aliens, a huge, invisible craft which hangs over the city.

On zero hour, a genius guy proposed an idea that few people noticed at the time:

We are talking about Westworld’s 4th season, which shows the inhabitants of NY city being controlled by special loudspeakers:

Westworld is a very unusual and complex series, which has many parallels with real life, and conspiracy theorists have long dismantled the replicas of the main characters into quotes. Therefore, it may well be that in the 4th season our future was just shown. It is possible that it has already arrived in Brooklyn and soon this dystopian future will be everywhere else.
