The Council Of Nine 7

This is not an essay specifically about conspiracy theory, or religion or the overlap of the two; Politics. Nope, we are hear to examine the Unexplained.

Okay, you can stop laughing.

We are here to examine the unexplained that goes beyond what we can actually show exists, but first I need to delve into the shallow end of those subjects above.

There is something about the conspiracy theory that is very appealing to us. According to Wikipedia:

“Conspiracism serves the needs of diverse political and social groups in America and elsewhere. It identifies elites, blames them for economic and social catastrophes, and assumes that things will be better once popular action can remove them from positions of power. As such, conspiracy theories do not typify a particular epoch or ideology”.

“…diverse political and social groups…”

You cannot get more diverse than belief.

Humanity wants to be led. Wherever humans go we form groups, clans, colonies, populations and one function of that is to centralize decision making and delegate support tasks. Humanity wants to believe in something greater than itself, and when you couple that desire to the desire to be led the results seem obvious. I have found various answers to the question so particulars may vary, but the impact of the answer remains the same: There are roughly 21 major religions practiced on Earth at present. Perhaps as many as 700 total religions which if you break them down into sub-sects that espouse distinct dogmatic differences the number enters into the 3000s.

Now, when you combine all of the elements above and shake them up a bit, you get a whole new set of stories that belong right here. I have found one that was new to me so let us explore it together.

Origins: A la Wikipedia

In Greek mythology, when Prometheus gave Fire to mankind, he infuriated Zeus, so to punish Prometheus, Zeus had him chained to a rock and every day an eagle came down and ate his liver. The liver grew back and the eagle returned to do the same to him the next day. To punish mankind, Zeus and eight other deities gathered to form the Council of Nine. The council members were Aphrodite, Apollo, Athena, Demeter, Hephaestus, Hera, Hermes, Poseidon and Zeus.

Together this council created Pandora, and sent her, as a gift, to Epimetheus. Epimetheus was also given Pandora’s Box, and told to never open it. Curiosity got the better of Pandora and she opened the box, releasing all of the misfortunes of Mankind.

The number Nine appears many times in the human experience as well as popular culture in matters both mystical and mundane.

In the mystical end of Christian belief, Three is an important number relating to the Holy Trinity as well as specific events, so Nine being three Threes is given significance.

Also there are Nine Choruses of Angelic beings.

Nine was the name of the sacred mountain of the Sun for the ancient Egyptians.

Dante’s envisioning of Hell had Nine levels.

The magic square using the first nine numbers is associated to the planet Saturn and each row and column has for sum 15. Sometimes, it is also called the “square of Solomon”. (Or Sudoku for beginners)

The council that governs The Church of Satan (which is a specific group rather than representative of all Satanic beliefs) call themselves the Council of The Nine, but it is not their particular mummery I am here to discuss. New Agers have their own usage for the Number Nine and this manifest in various forms as a group called The Council Of Nine. The name seems to be passed around and shared among various New Age sects, each giving it their own particular spin but there is a fairly consistent and common core.

The first public revelation of the Council of Nine seems to date back to 1952 when an Indian mystic named Dr D G Vinod, began to channel The Nine or ‘the Nine Principles’ during a parapsychology study run by Dr Andrija Puharich.

Dr Puharich

I am the beginning. I am the end. I am the emissary. But the original time I was on the Planet Earth was 34,000 of your years ago. I am the balance. And when I say “I” – I mean because I am an emissary for The Nine. It is not I , but it is the group. We are nine principles of the Universe, yet together we are one.

Curiously, and I am sure by pure coincidence, there are Nine basic tenets in Hinduism:

According to Hinduism Today Reverence for Our Revealed Scriptures All-Pervasive Divinity Three Worlds and Cycles of Creation The Laws of Karma and Dharma Reincarnation and Liberation Temples and the Inner Worlds Yoga Guided by a Satguru Compassion and Noninjury Genuine Respect for Other Faiths

Keep these in mind as you watch this presentation of a message channeled from The Nine by their current medium Phyllis Schlemmer

While it was Vinod who revealed The Nine to the people of Earth, and no information is readily available about him before that revelation nor any that is not in reference to his revelation. Puharich, fascinated by The Nine, found “independent confirmation” of The Nine in 1955. Charles and Lillian Laughead, Christian missionaries and UFO contact believers, having met Puharich in Mexico, contacted the doctor months after their first meeting with information from The Nine that referenced the earlier revelations of D G Vinod.

Puharich went on over the next decade to establish a reputation as a parapsychologist until in 1971 he met Uri Geller. Geller became a subject of study for Dr Puharich, who wrote the book “Uri: Original and Authorised Biography of Uri Geller, the Man Who Baffles the Scientists.”

As Geller has been pretty thoroughly debunked and all but confessed to his powers being no more than stage magic calls into serious question Puharich’s research methods and gullibility. Nevertheless, Geller revealed under hypnosis that his powers came from an alien supercomputer called “Spectra.” which Puharich, under strict scientific and laboratory conditions, suggested was actually a reference to…Oh, you guessed…

The Nine.

During subsequent sessions, Spectra agreed that it was indeed connected to The Nine who had programed Geller with his powers at a young age. From that time until 1973, when Geller’s appearance schedule interfered with his channeling duties, he offered himself up as medium for communication in service of The Nine. Luckily, though he was forced to choose between a rigorous schedule of highly paying public appearances and being the messenger of peace for the benefit of all mankind, Geller was permitted continued use of his spoon bending powers after having severed all ties.

The press that a revered celebrity spokesperson can bring to a world changing message from extra terrestrial powers who readily admit they are God cannot be understated, but in the end it is the message itself that is important not the man. Jesus was a simple carpenter after all. Puharich needed to find a new medium and with the assistance of former knighted racing driver Sir John Whitmore, who had retired from racing by this time and was applying his skills in the fields of sports psychology and business, and Florida-based psychic and healer Phyllis Schlemmer found a cook from Daytona who is known only by the name ‘Bobby Horne’. A lucky thing, that Horne lived not only in Florida, but in close proximity to one of the most popular automobile racing tracks in the United States, if not the world. Sadly the demands of channeling The Nine’s message of peace to humanity proved exhaustive for Horne and drove him to the brink of suicide. Obviously a medium who was capable and familiar with the process and strain involved in carrying such messages needed to be found. Yes, Puharich, Whitmore and Schlemmer had to find a host that could handle psychic the stresses of carrying on the message, but where to look for such a person? Ideally the candidate would have the power to regenerate the psychic energies, but true psychic healers do not just fall out of the palm trees and into your lap!

But wait! Phyllis, don’t you see, the divine extraterrestrial light of The Nine shines forth from you! And what shampoo do you use cause it is really bringing out the highlights in your hair as well as the color of your eyes.

Belief in the Council of Nine seems to have shared elements of various cult followings, from the promise of materialistic self fulfillment in “The Secret” or Scientology to the misguided and tragic Heavens Gate group who committed mass suicide in 1997. There are reported devotees of The Nine scattered throughout politics and high finance, and these are said to consult with The Nine on key decisions, through Schlemmer. Lacking confirmation of names and as is often the case the followers go unnamed I will not report those here. Where the unnamed are concerned it is often as not an attempt by the cult itself to gain credibility, where the named are concerned it is often either rumor or the result of indirect or direct contact with participants in the cult in a manner unrelated to cult activity as a result of the cult itself initiating contact for this specific purpose.

I will instead suffice to repeat what Wikipedia has to offer on Conspiracy:

“But if conspiracies exist, they rarely move history; they make a difference at the margins from time to time, but with the unforeseen consequences of a logic outside the control of their authors: and this is what is wrong with ‘conspiracy theory.’ History is moved by the broad forces and large structures of human collectivities.”

There is more, much more to this story, but none of it adds any credibility. For reference and further reading, I have culled information from the following websites. Bibliotecapleyades.net Theforbiddenknowledge.com Uri-geller.com Illuminati-news.com
