Fact or fiction

Syria has nearly collapsed. A dire prophecy has been fulfilled but is it truly the apocalyptic end of the world?

On November 29, 2024, Turkish-backed Syrian guerrillas seemingly captured Aleppo. The news initially surfaced on social media, was later confirmed by CNN, and quickly spread from there.

The Islamist militias, which emerged from Idlib have pushed into the heart of Aleppo. This advance has led to numerous strikes on government arms and ammunition stores, coinciding with the Syrian Army’s withdrawal from the city without engaging in combat.

Syrian forces, similar to the South Vietnamese Army in 1975, disbanded before engaging in battle. The city, which endured an Islamist siege from 2013 to 2016, fell within a mere 24 hours.

We must remember that the war in Syria has persisted since 2011, leading to significant exhaustion among Syrian forces and economic devastation for the country.

The term “failure” hardly captures the magnitude of the intelligence debacle faced by Syria and Russia in the region. It was not anticipated that Islamists were orchestrating a major assault in the Turkish-controlled areas of Idlib.

It seems inconceivable, but the battle for Aleppo, which began in 2013, spanned three years before the Islamists were halted, and now, within a mere three days, they have nearly seized the entire city, with Syria’s second-largest city succumbing to the hands of merciless Islamists.

For Russia, the stakes are high as this development potentially paves the way for a significant Qatari gas corridor through northern Syria to the Mediterranean, which was a key factor in its escalated involvement in the conflict in 2015.

We hadn’t intended to cover Syria, as it is extensively reported in the media. Nevertheless, it’s worth recalling a notable aspect, specifically Vanga’s prophecy regarding Syria:

“Soon the most ancient teaching will come into the world. People ask me: “Will this time come soon?” Syria has not yet fallen! Syria will collapse at the feet of the winner, but the winner will not be the same!”

Today, many people are skeptical about Vanga. Once prominent, her name in the last two decades has become associated with mockery due to hyperbolic attributions, including annual horoscopes. Despite this, some still believe in such headlines.

Regarding Syria, the situation is taken seriously as it has been reported in newspapers. Vanga was questioned about the end of the world, to which she replied that it would not happen soon, as Syria had not fallen. She suggested that the end would come swiftly after Syria’s fall, followed by the resurgence of an ancient teaching.

It appears that the prediction is becoming a reality. The current issue is the impending collapse of Syria, which is expected to fragment into many parts. Concurrently, and in the aftermath, the principal prophecies of the Apocalypse are anticipated to materialize, so we are monitoring the unfolding events closely.

Suspicions exist that Vanga may have been employed part-time by the KGB. It is believed that people divulged their secrets to her during consultations, and such information would have been of interest to the Chekists, hence the significant public relations efforts surrounding her.

This theory aligns with the notion that intelligence agencies possess confidential information that could be perceived as prophetic by those unaware of its origins. A fraction of this information might have been shared with Vanga to solidify her reputation as a seer.

Regarding Syria, it was the last major Arab state in the 20th century to resist any form of reconciliation with Israel. It is speculated that the KGB and the GRU might have had access to clandestine plans by the United States and Israel to destabilize Syria, considering it a significant threat to Israel.

The exact timing for the execution of such plans was unknown, leading to predictions without specific timelines. The expectation might have been for these events to unfold much earlier than 2011, potentially within Vanga’s lifetime, thereby enhancing her following and the collection of secrets for the KGB.

However, these are merely conjectures. Additionally, there seems to be no basis for predictions of an apocalyptic end of the world. Even in the event of another global conflict, it would not equate to the world’s end.
