Scientists who are adherents of the theory of Darwinism deny the existence of giants. In their opinion, Homo sapiens and his predecessors could not have been taller than 10 feet. Indeed, it is very hard to believe that people could reach 110-13 feet or even more.
Many theorists conclude that giants, Nephilim, Atlanteans, colossi lived on earth. And there is a lot of evidence. In addition to the skeletons themselves, which were actively found until the middle of the 19th century, and then abruptly ceased, there is a whole array of other finds.
For example, giant weapons. Who can fight with a 10-foot sword or an axe weighing more than 154 lbs? And how do you like a shield with a height of more than 86 inches? Of course, scientists have an explanation in store that is hard to argue with. These are ritual specimens that have never been used in battle.
As for the huge shield, it was attached to the rook and was also not part of the equipment. But why, when scientific specialists cannot explain something, for example, a building, they call it a temple or an observatory, and if it is an artifact, then it must be a ritual one by definition.
All this can not be seen as an attempt to get to the truth, but as a convenient tool. As for the giants themselves, there are a great many references to them, both in local folklore and in works of art. For example, in Washington, D.C., there is an engraving titled “The Funeral of Prince Francesco de’ Medici.” at the National Gallery of Art houses. It depicts a remarkable detail that no one paid attention to for a long time.
The columns of the hall where the event takes place are decorated with giant skeletons. Meticulous researchers have tried to discover the original source to see if this is the author’s fantasy or if he depicted a real life painting. It turned out that the people were at war with the giants and each skeleton of the slain giant was exhibited as a trophy. Sometimes it happened outdoors and sometimes inside buildings. In this case, the columns of the Basilica of St. Lawrence are decorated with trophy skeletons.
Until about the end of the 18th century, this practice was welcomed and encouraged, but in 1778 the church commemorated this date with the victory of the people over the giants and the death of the last of their kind. From that moment on, it was decided to burn their bones, there were even cabmen who took skeletons out of cathedrals, temples, squares, knights’ houses and guilds. Most of the information about this is hidden in the Vatican, but oral retellings cannot be hidden behind seven locks.
In the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Denmark, Romania, Italy, Spain, France, and Serbia, there are many oral reports that are considered fairy tales by scientists. Also, few researchers pay attention to the manuscripts of monks who lived in the Middle Ages.
This archival information is of particular value, as it is the record of eyewitnesses of those events. And when you read such annals, you get the impression that the history books write something completely different.
Yes, there were such people as giants, but the story was once again castrated, removed, so to speak, data that somehow outraged minds. So, everything is there somewhere, lying to itself, very quietly (in the storerooms) away from people’s curious eyes.
