There is a time bomb in the Pacific. A huge concrete dome filled with plutonium from US nuclear tests threatens the Pacific Ocean. And now it seems it is bursting!
This concrete structure, called the Runit Dome, is located in the Pacific Ocean atoll Enevetak, Marshall Islands.

This facility contains 101,498 cubic meters of radioactive waste contaminated with plutonium during US nuclear tests conducted on the Marshall Islands.
Plutonium is one of the most toxic radioactive materials with a half-life of up to 24,000 years.
No one knows for sure how much plutonium has already appeared in the lagoon, the Pacific Ocean and the World Ocean. Typhoons or storm waves can destroy concrete slabs or damage the dome’s seal under water.
In addition, sea level may rise by one meter by 2100, which means that the area will be flooded. Fukushima-2 is brewing in one of the most heavenly places on Earth!
