No Such Thing as Chance

No Such Thing as Chance 86

“Every Cause has its effect; every Effect has its Causes; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognised; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law.” ~The Kybalion

Man for the most part stumbles through life like a sleepwalker. He is unaware that for every thought and action he takes in his life there is an equal and opposite reaction. Our thoughts are energetic charges of energy which resonate on the unseen world of cause and bounce back into the manifest physical world of effect. This is called the Law of Return and it is just to beggar and king alike. Our thoughts and actions are either aligned with life (harmonious) or misaligned (inharmonious) and, as a result of our thinking our lives are either fulfilled or unfulfilled. The thoughts we entertain and the actions we take have consequences which are inevitable and cannot be retracted, bargained with or bought off. In the words of Omar Khayyam: “The moving finger writes; and, having writ moves on: nor all thy piety or wit shall lure it back to cancel half a line, nor all thy tears wash out a word of it.” Therefore, man alone is the master of his own thinking and the maker and shaker of his destiny.

Timeless Wisdom

“A man’s mind may be likened to a garden, which may be intelligently cultivated or allowed to run wild; but whether cultivated or neglected, it must, and will, bring forth. If no useful seeds are put into it, then an abundance of useless weed seeds will fall therein, and will continue to produce their kind.” ~James Allen, As a Man Thinketh

What We Sow We Reap

I was first introduced to the works of James Allen in the late sixties and early seventies when I was a motivator for a direct sales business. His understandings about positive thinking had a tremendous impact upon me and using his techniques of positive thinking and intent, I became very successful in my business. His analogy of the mind being like a garden has stuck with me through the twists and turns of life.

Our lives can be literally likened to a garden – a neutral sea of energy that is waiting to be planted. Our thoughts are the seeds and what we plant in our garden of today will dictate our circumstances in the garden of tomorrow. When we think about our thoughts as seeds we understand that just as an acorn holds the blueprint for the oak tree, so our thoughts hold the blueprint for our life experience. The garden knows no right or wrong – it is neutral and does not care what we plant in it – but it will return what we sow. Success or failure – happiness or misery. It really is up to us.

Life Doesn’t Happen to Us – We Happen to it

“He thinks in secret, and it comes to pass: environment is but a looking glass.” ~James Allen

We live in a duality and as the pendulum swings we all experience the good times and the bad times – success and failure, our ups and downs. As humans most of us have a tendency to fail to notice the wonderful things about our lives and instead dwell on our misfortunes. It is easy to become fixated on the bad events that happen to us and some even bask in their martyrdom. Dwelling on the bad stuff leads to negative attitudes and the vicious cycle of pessimistic and defeatist reality that follows. Once we become negatively charged we feel depressed, hopeless and helpless. The black chasms of gloom hang over us like a funeral shroud. Our conversations tend to revolve around the negative – our misfortunes, the blame game, how life has treated us unfairly, and our aches and pains. It is hard for us to shift our awareness from negative to positive. We tend to wallow in self-pity and blame circumstance for our condition when in fact, all of us have the inner power to forge a way out of our problems – but the slow vibration of envy, fear, and despair make it hard to flip the switch of our mind from negative to positive. We try and stagger up only to fall back down again and sadly there are many folk who are only too eager to re-enforce our lack of confidence and self-esteem – the phrase – “You’re useless” or “you can’t do that” are readily upon their lips. But, when we realise that our circumstances are a direct result of our thinking, the nay-sayers become irrelevant. We can overcome the negative and make a positive change within our lives.

Thoughts Are Alive

Dr Masaru Emoto, the Japanese scientist and water researcher shows us how our thoughts and words impact the molecular structure of water. Positive loving words and thoughts create harmonious(positive)crystal like structures while negative, poisonous thoughts create incomplete and blighted patterns of reality. The human body is made of 70% water, and his research shows how our thoughts can have profound implications on our health, our life experience and the well-being of the planet. When we see the news of today  with its negative undertow it is hardly surprising that the factors that create a negative reality surround us.

When we understand that our thoughts create our reality we will also realise that positive thoughts and actions can never produce bad results in the same way that negative thoughts and actions cannot produce positive results.  What we think is what we are…and what we act upon returns to us.  Fate does not exist…there is no such thing as chance. We can be anything we want to be in this life if we cultivate our garden with seeds of love and happiness. Keep ourselves in a positive state of mind and align ourselves with life.

We must learn to reach beyond the restriction and limitation of sense bound thinking and enter the holistic vision of the real life. It is time for a quickening of the spirit; an expansion of our awareness to encompass the eternal oneness of spiritual reality.

Let’s push the positive buttons.

An ancient Greek inscription of 1,500 years dedicated to Christ was discovered in Israel

An ancient Greek inscription of 1,500 years dedicated to Christ was discovered in Israel 87

The team is sure that the inscription comes from a church and not from a monastery. The discovery was reported by the Israeli Foreign Ministry with reference to the Antiquities Authority. It was performed in the Jezreel Valley, which since ancient times was the main battlefield of biblical Israel.

An inscription 1,500 years old writes in ancient Greek “Christ, born of Mary”. This was found by a team of archaeologists in an excavation in northern Israel, a text that was placed above the church door to ward off evil spirits.

The phrase was used by Christians to exorcise the evil eye, a superstition of the Greeks and Romans.

The inscription was discovered during the excavation of the ruins of a once magnificent Byzantine church, probably built during the early Islamic period. The church came to light during the mandatory excavations to cross the new road to the Jezreel Valley.

The researchers also established the identity of Theodosius mentioned in the text, who founded this church. This was one of the first Christian bishops. He was an influential person, the supreme religious leader of the Metropolitanate of Bet Shean, to which the modern village of al-Tayyib belonged.

“This is the first evidence of the existence of a Byzantine church in the village of et-Taiyiba and adds to the other findings that certify the activities of Christians in the area,” said Dr. Walid Atrash of the Antiquities Authority of Israel.

The team is sure that the inscription comes from a church and not from a monastery.

According to the researchers, artifacts from different periods were also found during the excavations. They shed new information on the long history of the settlements that existed in al-Tayyiba, as well as on their status.

Why does Satan’s name mean “light-bearer”?

Why does Satan's name mean "light-bearer"? 88

In modern languages, Lucifer is one of the names of Satan. However, from Latin the word lucifer literally translates as “luminiferous” and comes from the words lux (“light”) and phero (“carry”). What kind of light is this that the infernal ruler carries?

The ancient Romans called the planet Venus by the word Lucifer, that is, the “morning star”, which is better than all other celestial bodies visible in the morning (as well as evening) firmament. By the way, this name is “tracing paper” from ancient Greek: the ancient Greeks called this celestial entity Phosphorus (from Φωσφόρος – “carrying light”).

Lucifer means ‘that which brings light’. From φῶς (phôs, “light”) +‎ -φόρος (-phóros, “bearing”), from φέρω (phérō, “I carry”).

Why did the name of the star become the name of Satan? This happened as a result of “translation difficulties”. The Bible, in the Book of Isaiah, contains a prophecy about the death of the Babylonian king – a terrible enemy of the ancient Jews. It looks like this:

“… You fell from the sky, morning star, son of the dawn! He crashed to the ground, trampling on the peoples. “

“Morning star” and “son of the dawn” here are nothing more than magnificent oriental titles of the ruler. When Jerome of Stridonsky, the first translator of the Bible into Latin, translated this passage, he translated the Hebrew word הֵילֵל (“heylel”, “morning star”) as lucifer, because that is how the morning star was called in Latin.

However, Christians, contemporaries of Jerome, associated this passage not with the king of Babylon – the embodiment of evil for the ancient Israelites, but with their enemy – Satan. And the word “lucifer”, which was just the title of the Babylonian king, began to write with a capital letter. So the innocuous name of the star became a terrible hellish name.

Jerome’s other translation error led to an amusing misunderstanding. In the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, European artists and sculptors depicted Moses – the main biblical prophet … with horns on his head! Why?

The Bible says that when Moses came down from Mount Sinai, his face was radiant. In Hebrew, the words “ray” and “horn” are similar. So Jerome got it: “His face became horny because God spoke to him.”

There is a man on Earth who makes caves: you will be amazed when you see what has done alone after 25 years

There is a man on Earth who makes caves: you will be amazed when you see what has done alone after 25 years 92

Everyone has their own hobbies. Some are passionate about collecting, others are gardening, and still others are passionate about sports. But the hero of this article has a special passion. Ra Paulette is an American sculptor from New Mexico who burrows into hillsides and caves to create intricate artistic spaces within mountains. Maybe he is now the only one in the world.

You might think that he is a professional architect or sculptor, but no, it’s just that this person has a hobby. Although talent is undoubtedly present, he creates real works of art, sculpts caves like shrines, like sacred places.

He describes his places of work as “a sanctuary for prayer and meditation,” while others describe his caves as works of art. The caves are decorated with “scallops, patterns, smooth curved lines, smooth cornices, crisp ledges and inlaid with stones”. Its caves attract tourists from all over the world.

He has been hiding in a cave in New Mexico, USA for 25 years and has now decided to showcase the interior of his home.

What he did to the inside of the cave is almost impossible to describe in words, as if we are entering the world of fairy tales.

In ancient times, people made dwellings in caves or dug new rooms in the sandstone, but only for the purpose of living. The works of this artist are more for soul resting.

All this beauty is made in white sandstone cliffs just an hour from Santa Fe. Has anyone from you seen this beauty in real?

Tired of the whims of his bosses and customers, the artist, who was bored with art, began his personal and independent project.

The results of the project, as well as the process itself, are very impressive. Ra Paulette, who spent the last 25 years in the cave, completely alone, apart from his dog, away from society, spent time carving out walls.

He spent his time carving the sandstone cave he found, transforming it into a wonderful underground space full of light.

Paulette created different designs and styles for each cave, giving each one a distinct quality and texture.

The goal of this gigantic piece of art is to create an environment that inspires “spiritual renewal and personal well-being.” It will also serve as a venue for artistic events when its project is completed.
Ra Paulette works exclusively with hand tools, a pick and a shovel. First, he digs in various halls and vaults in any form, not forgetting about ventilation. The artist himself called his style – “dances of the digger” . When he likes what he gets, then he proceeds directly to creativity: decorates the halls and vaults with mysterious carvings and patterns.

In some places, his works look like real natural caves, and in other – like a completely civilized housing

Ra Paulette Cave
That is, you can wander and relax there.

There is a man on Earth who makes caves: you will be amazed when you see what has done alone after 25 years 97
When Ra Paulette made his first cave, it attracted connoisseurs of beauty and tourists. But it was made on state land and, in addition, he could not guarantee the safety of visitors. The cave had to be filled up.

Only later, when he began to make safe projects and all legal issues were met, it was possible to create endlessly. At the moment, 15 underground palaces exist for sure.

A documentary film “Cave digger” was even made about him and this man became even more famous.

In the video below, you can virtually take a trip through one of the caves decorated by the artist.

We can only be surprised by such people who just alone create beauty with which, we become kinder and better beings.
