Aptera has released an electric car that does not need recharging

The Aptera company, which was closed in 2011, suddenly made an announcement, presenting a novelty – a three-wheeled “solar” electric car that does not need to be recharged. According to company representatives, the new model, equipped with a 100 kWh battery, is capable of overpowering a mileage of 1600 km.

The presented electric car is designed to carry a driver, passenger and pet. It is powered by solar panels on the roof, which provide a daily mileage of up to 75 km.

According to the co-founder of Aptera Chris Anthony, the built-in battery provides constant recharging of the battery, which in turn guarantees up to 17,700 km of run throughout the year.

The electric car is lightweight and has excellent aerodynamics with a drag coefficient of 0.13 (for comparison, the Tesla Model 3 has a 0.23, and the Volkswagen ID is 0.28). The front-wheel drive version accelerates to 100 km / h in 5.5 seconds, and the three-wheel all-wheel drive version takes 3.5 seconds.

Pre-orders for the Aptera Paradigm and Paradigm Plus models are now available at prices ranging from $ 25,900 to $ 46,000. Deliveries will begin next year.
