Antarctica was discovered on January 28, 1820 by a Russian expedition led by Thaddeus Bellingshausen and Mikhail Lazarev. This white continent, covered with a three-kilometer layer of ice, attracts attention with its lack of knowledge and mysteries.
The average annual temperature on it reaches –25 ºС, in winter it drops to –90 ºС, and hurricanes reach such a force that even the most reliable equipment breaks. Perhaps this is why the conspiracy theorists of the entire planet have chosen Antarctica as the new “home” for aliens who have survived the Nazis and Pre-Adamites, the superhuman race. Sometimes we really want to believe in it, because every year the ice melts, revealing its secrets to scientists. But it’s difficult to verify the assumptions of the daredevils – links often lead to non-existent resources that the government “destroyed” or to the dubious resources of science fiction writers.
Blue Avians by Corey Goode
US researcher Corey Goode believes that under the ice of Antarctica there are some cryochambers in which preadamits sleep – either the race that preceded the Earth to humans, or aliens who are interested in “liberating” mankind from the yoke of a mysterious hidden organization that has many names.
Corey Goode claims that when he was six years old, the American government took him from his house. The boy was allegedly taken to Fort Worth Air Force Base in Texas, where he, along with three hundred other people, underwent some kind of “training”. After studying, he “worked” for 20 years in the US Secret Space Program (TCH), which was engaged in normalizing relations with several alien races.

For unknown reasons, after 20 years of service, he was erased and fired. Corey Goode claims that his memory returns in the form of certain visions or insights. And one of such insights is information about cryochambers of ancient humanoids (avians), which are under the thick ice in Antarctica. If they wake up, the history of mankind will change forever.
In many ways, the stories of Corey Hood are based on the revelations of the “victim of conspiracy theology” Phil Schneider, a demolition engineer who worked for the US government at the end of the 20th century, helping to build underground bases for the nuclear program. In 1995, he suddenly erupted in a series of lectures on aliens, who also have their bases underground. At lectures, he said that in 1979, in the state of New Mexico near the city of Dalsi, during construction work, the military and workers encountered aliens who attacked them and destroyed a detachment of 60 people. Schneider survived by a miracle: he was wounded by a shot from an alien weapon, his chest was burned, his feet and his fingers on his hand burned. But one of the soldiers pushed him into the elevator, ordered him to go upstairs, and this saved his life. Schneider described aliens as “unusually smelly”
At meetings with enthusiasts, Schneider said that there are 1,477 underground bases on planet Earth, and the United States spends a quarter of the country’s budget on their maintenance; 129 bases are located in the USA. Obviously, many of the alien bases may be located in Antarctica. Schneider claimed that all bases were built using alien technology and connected by tunnels.
Whether the engineer was telling the truth or his fingers were torn off during blasting, it is impossible to establish: two years later he died of a stroke. Schneider’s death immediately became rumored that they had killed him – they had strangled him with a catheter.
Real Atlantis
In fairness, it is worth noting that researchers who hope to find traces of ancient civilizations in Antarctica are not so wrong. Of course, they rely not only on the works of Plato, who placed the Atlantean island in the ocean beyond Gibraltar, but also on ancient maps on which Antarctica is depicted as a huge southern mainland.
A lot of noise in 1929 was made by the map of the Turkish admiral Piri ibn Haji Mehmed, which was found in Constantinople. On the map of 1513, copied from sources of the times of Alexander the Great, the south of the Earth occupied a huge continent, and the outlines of the Queen Maud Land were quite recognizable.
Antarctica and both Americas are found on old maps of Venetian merchants who copied them from the 13th century, and finally on the famous maps of Phineus and Mercator of the 16th century, where terra Antarctic was located exactly at the South Pole. Did this mean that the cartographers believed in the existence of the continent, or did they rely on some ancient knowledge?

The American researcher and historian Charles Hapgood compared the map of Phineus with the map of the Antarctic ice shelf, which was drawn up only in 1959, and found that the outlines of Queen Maud Land, Enderby Land, Wilkes, Queen Victoria and Mary Byrd almost coincide. The coordinates of the western coast of the Ross Sea did not coincide (in fact there is no land here, there are only ice) and the Ellsworth Lands (this is oceanic shallow water) and Edith Ronne.
A comparison of ancient maps made Hapgood think that earlier Antarctica could be located north of 2000 kilometers. At the South Pole, she was founded as a result of a catastrophic displacement of the earth’s crust – the lithosphere.
Hapgood’s theory was also supported by Einstein, who believed that the ice unevenly accumulating at the poles could influence the rotation of the planet. They create a moment of centrifugal force, which sooner or later is transmitted to the lithosphere and can cause a shift of the earth’s crust relative to the core of the Earth. If the theory is correct, then under the ice of the Antarctic, scientists can expect real discoveries. This assumption is confirmed by the studies of geologist Jack Hough bottom sediments in the Ross Sea, which suggests that 6000 years ago there was no ice on the mainland.
All around puzzles
But this is all guesswork. And what do we really know about Antarctica? We know that it is divided into two parts – East Antarctica and West Antarctica. The ice in the first reaches five kilometers in thickness, in the west the ice is thinner – about three kilometers, but most of the firmament is below sea level in a huge pit.

On the continent there are “oases of heat” – valleys in which there is no ice, but there is life: creeping plants, mosses, lichens. Similar “oases” are located on the islands of Seymour, Snow Hill and Snow Gill. There are also on the continent, for example, the Dry Valleys of Queen Victoria Land. Scientists suggest that the “heating” of such sites occurs from below, but no volcanic activity has been recorded on the continent.
Under the ice, there are more than 150 lakes. One of which, the East, is only four times smaller than Lake Baikal. Its depth is 1200 meters. It is located under ice 3.8 km thick under a pressure of 300 atmospheres. Its fresh water contains 50 times more nitrogen and oxygen than ordinary. There are four types of bacteria in it, which have developed in isolation for at least 1.5 million years, therefore they are completely different from terrestrial bacteria and have a genome that differs by 16%.
Can you find any other life forms there? It is possible, because the water temperature is +10 ºС, but so far nothing has been found. True, it’s difficult to sink to the bottom of the lake – it’s too deep and there is too much pressure.
Go exactly with the coordinates!
In the 21st century, with the advent of digital crats, it became fashionable to look for various strange objects on them. There are such artifacts on the maps of Antarctica. For example, at the coordinates 54 ° 39’44.6 “S 36 ° 11’42.5” W you can find a kind of torpedo that blew up a mountain to the left of it and rolled down the slope. At the coordinates 79 ° 58’38.1 “S 81 ° 57’44.4” W, you can find a pyramid freed from under the ice, and here (75 ° 0’46.98 “S 0 ° 4’52.71” E) there is a certain city marked by snow , from which only the tops of obscure structures are visible.

At the coordinates 66 ° 14’48.9 “S 100 ° 40’12.0” E you can find the “entrance” to the Atlantean cave, and it clearly resembles one of the glacial lakes located nearby, and here (66 ° 33’02.9 “S 99 ° 50’37.0 “E) on the map next to yet another” gateway to the kingdom of the Atlanteans “one can clearly see the outlines of either a UFO or a black dome.
On the other hand, all these satellite photos can only be part of some kind of game designed to stir up interest in the continent.
However, other tales about the Antarctic such as alien gods who created humanity can also be beneficial to someone. For example, as a distraction from pressing problems. After all, gullible people are easier to manage.
