March 4, 2021 became a day extremely rich in seismic events. So, on the morning of March 4, a new eruption of Etna began, and in the late afternoon on the Kermadec island arc to the north of New Zealand, a series of earthquakes of M7.0 – M8.0 + points occurred.

After a powerful earthquake off the coast of New Zealand, the magnitude of which reached 7.3 and a tsunami wave, aftershocks continue, but now the main seismic activity is observed a little further along the fault line in the area of Kermadec Island, where a continuous series of earthquakes occurs, which began with a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 and then continued with an 8.2 points earthquake on the Richter scale.

Over the past day, dozens of earthquakes have occurred there: 7.4, 8.1, 6.2, 5.3, 5.3, 5.1, 5.2 5.6, 5.9, 5.8, 5.3, 5.4, 5.6, 5.6, 5.6, 5.2, 5.1 and many other magnitudes of more than 5 points.

The earthquakes were in the ocean, not deep in focus, so the authorities immediately announced the threat of a tsunami and powerful water currents soon arrived to New Zealand:

Since the earthquake was strong, the tsunami may hit even Japan and South America, so if the option is moderate, then the M 8.0 was a foreshock and therefore soon M9.0 ++ will strike in the same place, washing away part of the coast of New Zealand from the face of the Earth.

A tsunami warning was issued in parts of New Zealand following a massive earthquake off the coast of the country.

The New Zealand Emergency Management Agency has advised residents of some areas to head to the higher ground after a massive earthquake hit the Kermadec Islands region on Friday, prompting tsunami fears.

The 8.1 quake (originally set at 8.2) was the third in the area on Friday morning local time, according to New Zealand’s National Emergency Management Agency.

People living near the coast should “immediately move to the nearest elevation, from all zones of evacuation after the tsunami, or as far inland as possible. Don’t stay at home, “the New Zealand agency’s website says.

The Kermadec Islands are 500-620 miles northeast of New Zealand’s North Island. The east coast of the North Island from the Bay of Islands to Whangarei, Matata to Tolaga Bay, including Whakatane and Opotiki, and Great Barrier Island, is included in the Pacific country’s tsunami warning.

“The earthquake may not have been felt in some of these areas, but evacuation should be immediate as a devastating tsunami is possible,” the agency said in a statement.

“People in all other areas who have felt a prolonged or strong earthquake that made it difficult for them to get up, or that lasted longer than a minute, should immediately move to the nearest elevation, from all tsunami evacuation zones, or as far inland as possible.”

The number of powerful earthquakes in the area of the seismic anomaly near the Loyote Islands is simply off scale, and this suggests that two tectonic plates are crawling in this area and the results of this cataclysm will affect all neighboring plates.

North Pole earthquake

Note that there was also an earthquake right at the North Pole yesterday, with a magnitude of at least 5 points:

An earthquake at the North Pole is not a very good sign, because it immediately makes you think about some kind of movement of the Eurasian plate, which is also being moved from one side. You can also think about the processes in the core, the echoes of which we have been observing in recent years in the form of the displacement of the magnetic north pole.

Usually, after such an event, something shakes violently somewhere, so there is nothing surprising what stroked along the edge of the Pacific Plate – it is surprising that Kermadek got under the distribution,

The antipode of today’s M8.0 lies in Morocco, where there is nothing to strike. But not only Sicily, but also the Canaries and Spain, where it has been shaking for a month already, are nearby:

Therefore, in the coming days or weeks, some surprises may also happen not only on Etna, but also on the Canary Islands, as in many other places.

On March 4, there was a new tangible earthquake in Greece. In addition, after an M8.0 on the edge of any large slab, a comparable magnitude is on its opposite edge, so guessing where it will hit again is now useless. There is absolutely no need to guess on what is already clear – the world must prepare for an earthquake of biblical proportions and we just have to calculate its place and time approximately, so we are following the development of events.
